This Gardeco waffle iron is similar to the 19th century waffle irons used over real fires. Its cast iron shell structure is traditional and easy to use. Long handles for easy reach over the fire without burns. To make waffles, use ready made paste or the recipe situated on the product packaging. Done in minutes over an open fire. Simply oil or butter the inside of the waffle iron, pour waffle mix to the upper level of the iron, clamp shut, lock and place over the fire. Turn the iron over a couple of times. Waffles are ready when light brown. Simply empty the iron over a plate. Delicious with icing sugar alone, or serve with jam, cream or any other accompaniment of your choice. Fantastic! The waffle iron itself is made of cast iron. Wash before use. Wash after use, dry and coat in oil. Will rust if left outside. Will rust if left un-washed. Will rust if not coated with oil after use. Cast iron becomes very hot while in use and may remain hot a long time after taking out of the fire. Do not touch before it is cool.
