Our interpretation of the iconic Manchester Bee, cut into a single piece of poplar and painted a glorious yellow. The Manchester Bee symbol has become widely recognised to symbolise integrity, creativity and resilience. Living only 18 miles from the great city we wanted to create our own representation of the symbol, for people who like contemporary artwork but doesn't like following the crowd. We wanted our bee to be intricate, strong and dramatic. The design is cut into a single piece of poplar, mounted with a second border on the rear to keep it true and lift it off the wall slightly. This allows the design to create a stunning shadow on the wall when placed in a well lit space. This picture is perfect for anyone who loves Manchester, the Stone Roses, Happy Monday's, New Order and the Industrial Revolution. Or just appreciates good art. This product is available in a striking Gambouge Yellow. These pieces can be personalised with a message on the rear of the scene. Each scene includes free postage and comes in its own branded gift box. The scene is lasercut into the highest quality, poplar veneer plywood, which is designed specifically for use with laser cutters. This material produces an incredibly crisp cut which enables us to create highly intricate pieces which are completely robust. The scene is ready to hang with a toothed picture hanging on the rear. They can be dusted lightly using a fine brush, or carefully using the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The design has been created to sit away from the wall slightly. This is achieved by securing with a second border on the rear of the piece. This helps to ensure that the scene stays flat and doesn't warp. This design style also provides enough space behind the scene to create an intricate shadow effect when the picture is hung somewhere near a good light source.
