75cl / 12% - Charles Heidsieck is the smallest of all the Grand Marques but is one of the top in terms of quality. Over the last three decades their winemakers have won 'Sparkling Winemaker of the Year' an unprecedented 15 times. This wine has been aged for eight years before release. 2006 is a lovely vintage with plenty of elegance behind the richness. Stone fruits; plums and apricots are supported by notes of tarte tatin and marzipan.
