The fixed gives precise height adjustment making it a very practical tool for trimming. The plunge base gives all the benefits of a standard 1/4" plunge router without tethering it to a mains socket. In its class, the DCW604NT offers unrivalled versatility. The brushless motor provides extended battery runtimes and delivers plenty of power. A clear polycarbonate sub-base and twin LEDs greatly improve visibility. Variable speed control (16,000-27,000rpm) lets you match the speed to the cutter diameter and the material. On the fixed base, the depth ring and clamping mechanism ensure spot-on accuracy when setting the cutting depth. The plunge base features a 5-step turret for incremental cuts. Both bases have comfort grips, minimising vibration and maximising control.
